Knowledge Channel to air Tuldok Animation Studios' "From Lines To Life" 7 Animation Instructional Videos
September 10, 2013—Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) signed a
memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Tuldok Animation Studios for the
airing of its seven-part three dimensional how-to series in animation entitled “From Lines to Life: An Introduction to Animation”,
which discusses the basics of producing an animated film from writing,
pre-production, production proper, and music and voice recording.
Signatories to the MOA are Ms. Rina Lopez Bautista, President of KCFI,
and Mr. Ramon del Prado, President of Tuldok Animation Studios. Mr.
Edric Calma, Director for Transmedia of KCFI, and Ms. Analyn Pineda,
Vice President of Tuldok Animation Studios, witnessed the signing.
The goal of these videos is to familiarize Filipino viewers with the
medium and to encourage those already interested in animation to begin
telling their stories and making their own animated films, thereby
producing more original Filipino animated content. The said video
series, which is produced by Tuldok in collaboration with
DOST-Information and Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICTO) and
the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), will also be
included in K Channel learning website, kchonline.ph, and in on-demand
packages.

Tuldok Animation presents its second project, "Pasintabi" and "From Lines to Life" during CICT's unboxed Event!
Tuldok Animation Studios, Inc. made its first public screening of its sophomore project, a double header consisting of a 40 minute film entitled, "Pasintabi", and the pilot episode of a 7 part educational video series on animation entitled, "From Lines to Life".
Tuldok's presentation was the closing segment, part of CICT's Creative Development Program launch event entitled, "Unboxed" which aims to showcase the talent of Filipinos especially when given the latest technological tools. The previous segments included a game called "Jeepney ni Janjan" by Anino games, as well as an future look at how the Creative Industry can help the Philippine economy in the coming years.
Lines to Life' pilot episode that covered a large chunk of the history of animation in the Philippines was followed by the 40 minute screening of Tuldok's second original film, "Pasintabi" to a jam packed Cinema 1 in SM Megamall last December 1, 2010.
Special thanks goes to the unwavering support of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology, whose forward thinking stance on how the country can actually benefit from new media by mixing Filipino creativity with the advances in information technology, and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, whose emphasis in the Filipino culture follows our group's goal of preserving the Filipino culture as we move into the information age.

What happened to the blog???
Yep, it's been a while since this blog was updated. What can I say, it's been a hectic 2010! But at least we've got a 40 minute short film to show for it and 7 educational videos which we will now be showing all around the Philippines! :)
Despite our really limited manpower we were able to get those things done and still keep up with our school tours. The only victims here are our website and the blog... we were just too busy for a good update! I guess being busy is a good excuse! But here's to its revival and looking forward to 2011!
We will see you all soon! :)

Ondoy the Tsunami from the Sky: How you can help
We take a break from our usual posts because of an unusual time.
Tropical Storm Ondoy (international name Ketsana) has submerged most of northern Philippines with torrential rains creating a disaster equal to that of Katrina in New Orleans and the flash floods in Istanbul Turkey. Several people have already lost their lives and hundreds and thousands are left without food and shelter.
Will be reposting links gathered from several websites on how one can help out.
